Question: What is the drawing?

Answer:
The "drawing" is a page which depicts the mark applicant seeks to register. In an application based on actual use, Section 1(a), 15 U.S.C. §1051(a), the drawing must show the mark as it is actually used.

Question: How do I find out whether a mark is already registered?

Answer:
You may conduct a search free of charge on the USPTO website using the Trademark Electronic Search System (TESS).

Question: I want to complain about a company. Can I use their name and logo?

Answer:
Yes. While trademark law prevents you from using someone else's trademark to sell your competing products, it doesn't stop you from using the trademark to refer to the trademark owner or its products.
